Scott offers trust and estate planning/administration, closely held business, business succession, and charitable giving legal services. 

His trust and estate clients’ range from those with modest estates requiring basic estate planning to those with high net worth requiring complex, sophisticated planning techniques.

Scott counsels small businesses and their owners through all stages of life including start-up, maintenance, sale, and succession. 

Scott obtained his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law and earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Alabama. He is admitted to practice in Colorado, Massachusetts, Alabama and Mississippi. 

Scott’s full name is Jack Mason Beard, Jr.  His grandfather nicknamed him “Scotty” when he was just a few weeks old and it stuck! Scott currently lives in Boulder, Colorado where he gardens, hikes, volunteers, and enjoys life with his husband.
